Spreading Good News (Part 141)

Hello, Blog Readers!

I look for information that is useful, inspirational, informative, motivational, awe-inspiring, educational—anything that is good “brain food,” and I blog it here for all who are interested.  Occasionally, I blog about something from my own knowledge or experience.

It is my hope that you will enjoy and be able to use most of what is here.

If you’d like, post a comment and let me know what you think.

The Calm

by Joyce Fields

As a child growing up in the mid-1940′s and early 1950′s, what I remember most about our house was the calm.  Not an easy feat for a household of nine people and a doberman puppy!  But Mama and Daddy were calm souls, and they passed that very valuable trait on to all seven of their children.  I’m the oldest.

To this very day, my four brothers and two sisters and I all talk about how grateful we are for that gift of calm and for all the love and direction that they gave us!

That’s the reason why I wrote my first book, Line of Serenity—because I wanted to capture the way that they raised us.

I didn’t think about it at the time, but I know that they would be proud.

I’ll blog more about this, so stay tuned.
