Here’s an excerpt:

The Best Way to Keep a Man Cover 060214BE WILLING AND READY TO PAY YOUR DUES

God put the onus on men that they must be willing to die for their women. So, I figured that, if I were a man, I would not be willing to die for a woman who could not show me that she was DEFINITELY in MY corner. In most long-term relationships where the couple is in their 70’s, or 80’s, or 90’s, the man seems content to sit back and relax and let his wife be the assertive one. Why? Probably because, in virtually all situations, she has proven that she will say and do the right thing. He knows that he can trust her judgment. That did not happen overnight. It also did not happen without a lot of tears shed by the female, a lot of unlearning undertaken by the female, a lot of “heated discussions,” and a lot of other stuff.

My cousins Millail and Henrietta Jackson were married for over 60 years (he has passed on). A young lady asked Henrietta for the secret to staying married that long. Henrietta replied, “You have to take a lot of s**t.” Amen!

In order for a relationship to last 25 or more years, the female has to be able to deal effectively with negative forces. Anybody can hang in
there when the forces are positive. What really counts is hanging in there when the forces are negative. That’s what strengthens the bond between a man and his woman. When the woman can do that, she shows her man that she is worth coming home to; she is worth his willingness to die for her.

One of the biggest negative forces is a negative female who nags too much, starts too many arguments, finds fault too much, etc. Would you want to be around someone who was constantly nagging or complaining? Probably not. So why inflict that on another person?
